I’m Cathy Brodsky, RN—a Certified Pain Management Nurse and Health Coach with over 25 years of experience in healthcare. I help adults living with chronic pain, especially osteoarthritis, feel more in control of their bodies and their lives.
But I’m not just a clinician—I’m also someone who lives with chronic pain.
About 20 years ago, I was living with obesity, navigating the emotional weight of mild situational depression, and struggling to keep up with my everyday life. Over time, I lost 40 pounds and started taking small, sustainable steps to care for myself more deeply. Then in 2022, after years of living with a severe spinal misalignment, I had a spinal fusion. I also live with generalized osteoarthritis—and I know firsthand how exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming chronic pain can be.
That’s why I’ve built my coaching practice around a compassionate, science-based approach that blends my clinical background with lived experience. My goal is to help you Be Your Best Self, even in the face of chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, back pain, and joint stiffness.
In 2019, I became a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches, a Harvard-affiliated program that trains coaches in evidence-based behavior change science.
My work is grounded in four essential pillars that support long-term comfort and function:
• Movement that’s gentle but effective
• Nutrition to reduce inflammation and fuel your healing
• Sleep that restores your body
• Mindset work to manage stress, shift pain perception, and feel empowered
I’m a proud member of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing (ASPMN)and the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA). I also volunteer with the U.S. Pain Foundation as a peer support group leader and serve as a JSSA hospice volunteer—often accompanied by my dog, Tito. I regularly speak to senior living communities and professional groups about aging, arthritis, and chronic pain.
If you’re looking for expert guidance and compassionate support, I’d love to help you find a path forward. You deserve to feel safe, supported, and strong in your own body.
